Middletown Township is the most populous municipality in Monmouth County — 41 square miles and more than 15 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character and its own housing stock. Oak Hill colonials from the late 1950s. Bayshore cottages in Leonardo and Port Monmouth. Historic homes in Navesink and Middletown Village dating back centuries. Split-levels in Fairview. New construction scattered throughout.
That variety is what makes Middletown challenging for electricians who don’t know the area. A 1955 ranch in Lincroft has different electrical needs than a waterfront home in Locust or a Cape Cod in Belford. And the bayshore neighborhoods — Port Monmouth, Leonardo, Belford, North Middletown — face flooding risks that inland sections don’t.
We’ve served Middletown since 1996. Our Red Bank office is centrally located — about 8 minutes from Lincroft, 12 minutes from Leonardo, 15 minutes from Port Monmouth. We know the neighborhoods, we know the housing stock, and we know what it takes to keep the lights on through the next nor’easter.
The most common upgrade we do in Middletown. A 200-amp panel gives you capacity for central air, a modern kitchen, a home office, and future additions like an EV charger. Essential for mid-century homes still running on original 100-amp service.
Level 2 home charging for Tesla, Ford, Rivian, and all EVs. We assess your panel capacity, install the charger, and handle permitting. Older homes usually need a panel upgrade first — we can do both while installing the at home EV Charger.

Middletown is Monmouth County's largest municipality — 40+ square miles, 65,000+ residents, and an electrical repair book that covers every era and housing type. River Plaza ranches from the 1950s with original panels. Lincroft colonials from the 1970s with breakers that trip on modern loads. Navesink estates where complex systems develop intermittent faults. Leonardo waterfront homes where salt air corrodes connections and outdoor equipment. New Monmouth apartments where aging infrastructure serves dozens of units.
The sheer scale of Middletown means we're there almost daily, handling everything from a single dead outlet to full diagnostic workups on homes where "something electrical" isn't right but the homeowner can't pinpoint what. We bring the instrumentation and the experience to find it, explain it, and resolve it — typically in a single visit.
Storm-related surges can damage electronics, appliances, and HVAC equipment. Panel-mounted surge protection guards everything in your home from voltage spikes.
After Sandy, generator installations increased dramatically in Middletown — especially in the bayshore neighborhoods. A standby generator kicks on automatically during outages, keeping your refrigerator running, your sump pump working, and your family safe.
Aluminum wiring remediation, knob-and-tube removal, circuit additions, and whole-house rewiring for homes that need more than a panel upgrade.

The bayshore sections of Middletown — Port Monmouth, Leonardo, Belford, North Middletown — face unique challenges. Sandy Hook Bay flooding, nor’easters, and the occasional hurricane remnant all threaten these communities.
The Port Monmouth Flood Risk Management project has added levees, floodwalls, pump stations, and protective dunes. But individual homes still need their own storm preparedness.
Generator installation. The most important upgrade for bayshore homeowners. When the grid goes down — and it will — a standby generator keeps your home functional. We install and service Generac, Kohler, and other major brands.
Sump pump circuits. Your sump pump is useless if it loses power during a flood. We install dedicated circuits and can connect sump pumps to generator backup.
Electrical system inspection after flooding. If your home has flooded — even once — have your electrical system inspected. Saltwater damage isn’t always visible, and it can create fire hazards years later.
Panel elevation. For homes in flood-prone areas, relocating the electrical panel to a higher floor can prevent damage during future flooding events.
Oak Hill colonials, Lincroft split-levels, Leonardo cottages, Navesink historic homes — we've worked on all of it and understand the unique electrical challenges of each era.
Generator installations, surge protection, sump pump circuits — we help bayshore homeowners prepare for the next storm.
